Irene Sanz Nieto

Who am I?

I am an engineer in Industrial Electronics and Automation. I have a maker and self-learning profile and I have been involved in numerous projects regarding 3D printing, arduino, robotics and computer vision, both during the Bachelor and afterwards at work.

I am currently working as a freelance technical consultant, developing prototypes and robots for companies, from inventions for TV or marketing promotions to prototypes for future products.

Previously I worked at BQ, where I started as a Software Engineer and worked as a R&D developer, Technical Lead in a web project and Head of the Smart Toys Department. In that time I have developed numerous projects regarding robotics, web-development and computer vision.

In college I developed Oculus, my Bachelor's Thesis. It consists on a real-time object learning and recognition using 2D and 3D information. It was developed using the Robotic Operating System (ROS) and the PCL and OpenCV libraries.
